The Recovery Resource Hub program provides an impartial one-stop shop where people with substance abuse issues can talk to a State Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist and receive an assessment to determine the level of care needed. The Hub is also an information resource for families and friends trying to handle the stresses that come with having a loved one who is addicted. Huntsville Housing Authority YouthBuild is a program designed to reach the underserved youth ages 16-24. With committed and dedicated community partnerships, HHA YouthBuild is equipped to provide education, job training, leadership development, counseling and graduate support.

• Participants enrolled in YouthBuild have access to community resources such as counseling and referrals for childcare and transportations issues
• Participants prepare for the GED or High School Diploma. The curriculum integrates academics with life skills.
• Participants engage in community service projects and build esteem to advocate
  on issues in their communities.
• Participants gain a profound work ethic and develop job skills that will
  advance their career job opportunities.

Program Eligibility

• Must be between the ages of 16-24.
• Youth who have not received their high school diploma or GED.
• We serve youth ages 16-24 who meet one or more of the following
  criteria: low-income household, youth aging out of foster care, adjudicated
  youth, disabled youth, youth with an incarcerated parent and/or migrant youth.
