Dear Public Housing or Section 8 Resident:
If you dream of improving your life and that of your family and are willing to take advantage of an opportunity for lasting change, the Huntsville Housing Authority (HHA) is pleased to announce this good news for you and your family!
The Family Self-Sufficiency Program (FSS) was created to help you overcome the obstacles that prevent you from realizing your dreams. When you choose to participate in the FSS Program, we will help you develop goals for your life! You will be assisted in locating and utilizing agencies, programs, and resources that can help you with
- Education Job Training
- Job Placement Home Ownership Counseling
- Personal Counseling And more!!
In some cases, HHA will set aside money in a special savings account for individuals who successfully complete the FSS program
It is easy to apply for the FSS program, just fill out the information below and return to your Property Manager or FSS coordinator.
Your enrollment is voluntary, and admission is based on your desire for self-improvement, the availability of training and services, and availability of FSS slots in your area.
Admission, if you qualify, is on a first come, first served basis. You must not however, have previously completed or been terminated due to noncompliance from the
Family Self-Sufficiency Program through a Public Housing Authority or other Section 8 office.
